Supporting Search And Rescue
The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) is the charity that saves lives at sea. They do this through lifeboat search and rescue, lifeguards, water safety education and flood rescue. Through the charitable donations from local communities, their search and rescue service has been saving lives for nearly 200 years.
Newington Fish Bar has been a long time supporter of RNLI in their mission to end preventable drowning.
We recently held our second RNLI day over the platinum jubilee weekend. The RNLI team set up an inflatable lifeboat and stall outside our restaurant to greet passers-by. A children’s colouring competition was held to engage our youngest customers.
The Ramsgate carnival Queen and Princesses made a welcomed appearance along with the Mayor of Ramsgate.
We would like to thank the RNLI for their hard work. We’re pleased to announce that they raised £358 on this day.
